Go 8 Bit Panel

We are extremely excited to announce our headline panel! Sam Pamphilon and Steve McNeil, famous for their time on Dara Ó Briain's Go 8 Bit amongst a lot of other things including tv, gaming, charity and much more!
Steve McNeil

For the last decade, Steve has been touring his live show WiFi Wars (which you can catch at the event too!), developed at its residency at the Royal Institution in London. He's broken a Pong-based Guinness World Record (twice!), was a successful Twitch Partner until he got sick of it, and - with Sam Pamphilon - co-created and was team captain on the hit TV show, Dara O'Briain's Go 8 Bit, and its spin off, 8 Bit DLC.
As a writer, he's written for the BAFTA Games Awards, IGN, and many other industry publications, as well as his best-selling book about the history of Video Games (Hey! Listen!), which he adapted for his stand-up show of the same name. He also appeared on many shows for Sky News and Ginx TV, as a journalist and presenter, including the long-running cult-hit, Videogame Nation.
Behind the scenes, he's helped TikTok, Ubisoft , ESL and more create accessible gaming events as a producer and consultant, and when he has time he tries to give something back to charities such as Comic Relief, Warchild and Stand Up To Cancer.
Away from gaming, he was in Brendon Burns' 2007 Perrier-award-winning comedy show, replaced Rik Mayall in a Peter Hall production, and performed in an award-winning musical about anti-terror legislation. It's this scattergun approach to his career that, to date, has kept him out of gainful employment to the dismay of everyone that relies on him for financial support.
Sam Pamphilon

Sam Pamphilon is an actor and comedian. Along with Steve McNeil he created and was a team captain on Dara O'Briains Go 8 Bit. Recently he has starred in The Witcher for Netflix and War for HBO. He has also grown a beard but this has failed to provide him with any real sense of fulfilment.
